Really enjoyed The Art auctions. Don't seem so annoyed when guests ask for a table for two. There is a discrepancy between the description of how " difficult/painful the shore excursion will be ie. the version available for "picking " before you leave compared to the ones in the Princess Patter. We would not have gone on the 4-wheel drive had we read the "real version."

The shows were sung and danced very well. On some the sound was so loud it distorted the singers voices. I almost walked out on one. The staging was excellent. Some of the food was disgusting. Salmon so hard it could be cut only with great pressure with a knife. Some of the servers did their job very well. One pair was very bad. Did not seem to know what they were doing. (We had this pair 3 times.) They did not remove the wine glasses (from those that had no wine) until they cleared the table after the main course, got orders mixed up, etc. The International Cafe had selections that changed with the time of day. Very good. All the crew very friendly. Could not relax beside the pool due to the movies under the stars. Sound so loud we could hear it in our cabine, 5 decks down and near the rear of the ship. Soft ice cream available-very good.

My husband and I found the smoking on board way too much. Smoking on the balconys stopped us from using our own balcony on a few occasions. The smell in the hallways of cigar smoke was bad enough that when you opened your door the smell came into our statroom. Even up around the pool the smokers forced us to leave. I thought cigar smoking was supposed to be limited but on two occasions we had someone smoking a cigar by us. We did not use the casino because of the smoking. It was bad enough just walking thru . We got to the point that even on nonsmoking nights we didn't stay there. We will not be returning to Princess . I understand that Princess is changing their policy in 2012, but I feel that it is pass time for a nonsmoking cruise. We have cruised with Celebrity on other occasions and had never found smoking to be a problem. I think that Princess has really missed the ball on this one.

We were on a wedding-everthing was well organized and the bride was beautiful. Our second day was a little(a lot)rocky. But the crew treated us very well and was helpful with the situation.

-The whole experience of the cruise was so worth the short trip. The sail away party is such a good reminder to just simply have fun! -My most memorable thing about the Golden Princess was the movie under the stars. The outside viewing was chilly but so re-freshing once I found a blanket to curl up in. Watching the movie on a big screen was so enjoyable and reminded me of the old drive-in theatres. -The thing that stuck out in my mind that could use improving on my cruise would be to have a special 1 day card offer on drink purchases, much like what you can get on a 4 or 7 day.

It was our first cruise and the service is excellent, the ship is awesome even if we had one day severe weather the ship remain stable and nothing to be concerned about. The only thing that could be improved is the time to disembark but I suppose the problem is due by the US oms poeple and not Princess because it was so well organized. Our next cruise will probably be longer than the 3 days!

The food and the entertainment were much better than our last 2 cruises in the Mediterranean. The service was good. We felt the excursion desk at the beginning of the cruise did not have enough employees working and there were very long lineups and frustrated passengers.(even though many had booked ahead of the cruise) This could have something to do with our late arrival in Juneau and a number of the excursions had to be delayed or cancelled. Our double decker bus in Victoria actually turned out to be enclosed even though it was a beautiful evening. We were impressed with the entire disembarkation process-very slick.
